The first stripe is red-shaded, while the middle one is white and the last one is black. The flag of Yemen is also known as Alam-al-Yaman. The flag was embraced on the 22nd of May 1990. The day both north and south Yemen became a single country. This flag is based on the Arab Liberation flag and these colors are common in most of the Arab flags. The proportion of the flag is 2:3. Meaning: The flag of Yemen is simple with just three colors and three horizontal bands in it but it has deep meanings for the people.
