The fag of Thailand may seem simple but there are deep meanings behind the colors. The national flag of the country stands for the nation-religion-king, this is a motto that Thai people live by. The red stripe symbolizes the blood of those people who lost their lives in the defense of the country. The white color stands for purity, peace, and Buddhism. Buddhism is the primary religion of Thailand. The blue shade represents the Thai monarchy. The blue stripe is bigger than the other stripes, and it honors Thailand’s World War 1 allies. History: The first flag which was used was in plain red color and at that time the country was known as Siam. This design did not stand well as it was not strong enough for international relations. In 1855 King Mongkut created the first flag officer and that flag was in red color with a white elephant emblem in the center of the flag. After that many styles changed and many designs came into use but later in 1917 the current flag was adopted. This flag has the perfect meaning which reflects the people of the country. Interesting facts: The people of Thailand are very patriotic towards their flag, the reason behind this is that the design and the colors reflect the Thai culture and society, and also it symbolizes the history of the country. In Thailand, flags can be seen everywhere. People love to put flags everywhere, and it is not only for the government to fly the flags like many other countries of the world but people living in the country can also fly the flags.
