Flag of Central Republic Africa Size: The official national flag of the country is designed with four equivalent flat groups of blue, white, green, and yellow with an upward red band in focus. The red shade is in the vertical direction while all other shades are in the horizontal direction. In the top left corner of the flag, on the blue band, there is a yellow star with five corners. The banner has a width-to-length extent proportion of 3:5. Meaning: Every flag has its unique meaning, and it represents something interesting about the present, past, or future of the country. The shades and design of the flag are not selected by chance; it is selected wisely because the national flag represents the motto behind the country’s freedom and its people. Hence, the African flag was also designed with full intentions. The banner is a mix of the Pan-African banner and the French banner tones. The red tone addresses the blood of humankind and represents the regard that Europeans and Africans have for one another. The blue tone addresses the sky and opportunity; the white tone represents harmony and poise. The green tone addresses trust and confidence, and the yellow shading represents resistance. The yellow star shows the freedom and the goals of the country towards a lively future. History: Being a French settlement, the Central African Republic involved the National Flag of France as their authority flag. In 1958, when the nation turned into an independent domain from a state, the primary banner was made and began to be utilized. This banner was accordingly affirmed as the public banner of the nation, and has not gone through any further changes from that point onward. The National Flag of the country was authoritatively embraced on December 1, 1958. The banner has been planned by Barthelemy Boganda. No progressions were presented in the banner plan when complete freedom was accomplished on August 13, 1960; nor during the years 1976-79, when the tactical pioneer Jean-Bedel Bokassa accepted royal responsibility with his statement of the Central African Empire. Boganda’s banner plan emblematically communicated his acknowledgment that France and Africa should walk together. Interesting Facts: The Constitution of the country depicts the banner as “four equivalent measured flat groups of the shadings blue, white, green and yellow, oppositely banished in their middle by a red band of equivalent size and set apart in the upper left corner by a yellow five-pointed star.” Barthelemy Boganda is the designer of the national flag of the country. 240,535 622,984
