Flag of Uruguay Size: The National Flag of the Country is rectangular. It consists of nine equivalent even stripes of white substituting for blue stripes. The first and last strips are white in shade. The direction of the bands is horizontal. In the upper right side corner, there is a white square that has a yellow shaded sun with a human face. The sun alluded to as the Sun of May, is outlined with black shade, and contains 16 beams that switch back and forth between three-sided and wavy. The proportion of the flag is 2:3. Meaning: The nine-level stripes on the banner address the nine unique branches of Uruguay. The blue and white tones are designed according to the banner of Argentina. The image of the Sun brings out the legend of the sun getting through the mists on May 25, 1810, as freedom was first announced from Spain. The sun is also the National emblem. The highlights of the sun address those of Inti – the Inca divine force of the sun. History: The National Flag of the country was first embraced on 16 December 1828. The public banner had an alternate design with a sum of 19 stripes. This unique plan included nine blue stripes. Notwithstanding, this plan was changed on July 11, 1830. This new plan included only four stripes and is the very plan that is utilized today. This banner isn’t the main national flag of the country. Indeed, there are two other authority banners. The first is the banner of the Treinta y Tres. This banner is utilized in recognition of the undertaking of the Treinta y Tres Orientales.
