Lebanon Flag Size: Lebanon’s banner is rectangular and contains three flat stripes. The top and bottom bands of the flag are red in shade, while the middle stripe is white. The proportion of the band’s width is 1:2:1. The white band has double-width than the red. We can say that two red stripes make one white. There is a white cedar on the white strip. This is also known as Lebanon cedar. If we talk about its height, its top point touches the upper red strip while its bottom point touches the bottom red stripe. Meaning: The banner’s red-hued stripes fill in as a token of the slaughter by individuals in Lebanon to ensure their country against attacking unfamiliar powers. The white tone represents harmony and virtue, just as snow. The Lebanon cedar included in the focal point of the banner has huge importance, as it is referred to in different scriptural sections, and is accepted to embody harmony, forever, and blessedness. The cedar fills in Lebanon’s mountains and is a focal element on the banner. The tree in the flag also enlivened the hills of Lebanon’s cedar. Maronite Christians are also represented by this cedar. The cedar of Lebanon has its starting point in numerous scriptural references and was referenced multiple times in the holy book. History: Lebanon has had a couple of standards throughout this present time is the ideal opportunity, which were normally dependent upon the choice power at a given time. Lebanon’s current flag was also used when the French were rulers in Lebanon. Only the current position of stripes was changed. Before it was in the vertical direction, and now it has a horizontal direction. The shades of the stripes were red, white, and blue. Cedar in the current flag is green while in the old flag it was of a different shade. Its size was also different. The old flag was used for 23 years since the country became independent in 1943. After independence, new flag was adopted. Interesting Facts: Lebanese implemented a law in 1945, that other countries’ flags could never be flown in Lebanon. This flag was also made with the brown tree but, it was rejected, and only the flag with the green tree was selected as the national flag. Some people say that Henri Pharaon got the idea for the flag’s color combination from Austria’s flag. He got the inspiration and used such colors in the flag. 4,036 10,452
