Flag of Uzbekistan: Size: The flag of Uzbekistan is a four-color flag. The four colors present in the flag are light blue, white, red, and green. There are three horizontal stripes. The first stripe is in light blue with a crescent and twelve stars. The second stripe is in white and has thin red borders on both the upper and lower sides of it. The third stripe is in green color. The flag was adopted in 1991, almost 30 years ago, and the proportion of the flag is 1:2. The flag was adopted the same year the country gained independence. History: In 1991 the Uzbek government accepted its new national flag’s design. At that time they received more than 200 designs in a flag design contest. The flag which was selected was the same as it is now. The only difference was the emblem and the colors. It stayed for a good period but later on the current flag was designed with an emblem on it and different color combinations. The flag was adopted in November 1991, almost 30 years ago and the flag has remained unchanged since.
